Customizing Your Quanto Trading UI

Quanto Trade UI can change to meet your needs

Updated over a month ago

Learn how to move, resize, and configure every element to create a workspace perfectly tailored to your trading style.

The Quanto trading interface is designed to be both powerful and flexible. We understand that every trader has a unique workflow, so we've made nearly every component of the UI customizable. You can rearrange your workspace, focus on the data that matters most to you, and hide what you don't need.

Core Customization Actions

You have full control over the layout of the modular components.

  • Move Widgets: Click and hold the dotted top right corner area of any customizable widget (like the Order Book or Place Order sections) and drag it to a new location on the screen. Other widgets will move to make space.

  • Resize Widgets: Hover your mouse over the bottom right corner of any customizable widget until the resize cursor appears. Click and drag to resize the sections horizontally or vertically.

  • Reset to Default: If you ever want to return to the original layout, click the main gear icon ⚙️ in the top market details bar and select the "Reset Layout" icon ↺. You can experiment without fear!

A Tour of the Trading Widgets

Let's explore each component of the trading UI and its available customization options.

1. The Top Bar (Static Sections)

These sections in the top-left corner are always visible for easy access.

  • Favorite Markets: This area displays your starred markets for one-click access. To add a market, open the Market Selector dropdown, find your desired market (e.g., ETH or QTO), and click the star icon ⭐ next to it.

  • Market Details & Selector: This is your main navigation hub. Use the dropdown to search for and select the market you wish to trade. Click the information icon ⓘ next to the selected market to view its detailed specifications and Trading Rules.

2. The Price Chart (TradingView)

The heart of your analysis, our chart is powered by TradingView.

  • Drawing Tools: A full suite of drawing tools (trend lines, Fibonacci retracements, etc.) is located on the left-hand toolbar of the chart.

  • Full Screen: Click the "Full Screen" icon in the top right corner of the chart to view the chart in full screen mode.

  • Chart Settings: Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the bottom-right corner of the chart itself to modify its visual appearance, including timezone, scales, and labels.

3. The Order Book & Trades

This widget gives you a real-time view of market depth and activity.

  • Order Book Tab: The default view shows a live list of all open buy (bids) and sell (asks) orders. You can change the layout to one side only or latter view.

  • Trades Tab: Click this tab to switch the view to a feed of the most recent trades that have occurred on Quanto for the selected market.

  • Depth Chart: A key feature - click the "Depth" button at the top of this widget to change the main Price Chart area into a visual Depth Chart, showing the cumulative size of bids and asks.

4. The Place Order Widget

This is your command center for entering trades.

  • Long/Short Tabs: Easily switch between opening a long (buy) or short (sell) position.

  • Leverage Selector: Use the slider or input box to set your desired leverage level for the new position.

5. The Positions & Orders Panel

Located at the bottom by default, this comprehensive panel helps you manage everything about your account activity. It contains several tabs:

  • Balance: Shows your balances for all supported collateral assets.

  • Positions: Displays all your current open positions.

  • Open Orders: Lists all active limit and conditional orders that have not yet been filled.

  • TWAP: Manage your active TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) orders here.

  • Trade History: A complete log of your executed trades going back up to 3 months.

  • Funding Payments: A record of all funding payments you have paid or received.

Pro-Tip: Use the "Hide other pairs" checkbox located in this panel to filter all tabs to show information only for the market you have currently selected. This is great for reducing clutter and focusing on a single asset.

6. The "Account Margin" Section

This vital section provides a snapshot of your account's health and risk level. You can monitor your total and available collateral here.

  • Margin Currency View: You can switch the currency display between USD and $QTO for a different perspective on your margin.

Global View Settings (The Main Gear Icon ⚙️)

Located on the right side of the Market Details section in the top bar, the main gear icon opens up the overall UI settings. From here you can:

  • Hide/Show Widgets: Don't use the Order Book widget or another feature? You can completely hide entire sections from view to simplify your workspace.

  • Change Margin Currency View: This toggle provides another location to switch your entire UI's margin view between USD and $QTO.

  • Reset Layout: As mentioned, this is your one-click solution to restore the entire UI to its original, default configuration.

We encourage you to spend a few minutes rearranging the layout to build a trading environment that feels intuitive and efficient for you. Happy trading!
